AUSTRIA 2010!

The Super Zillertal Ski Area has 430 Km pistes including the glacier
at Hintertux, as well as the slopes in and around Hintertux, Madseit,
Juns, Lanersbach, Vorderlanersbach, Finkenberg, Mayrhofen, Ramsau,
Schwendau, Hippach, Zell am Ziller and Kaltenbach!

Your lift pass covers the entire ski area & provides free transportation between
145 lifts so the variety on offer is hard to beat. The skiing ranges from 630m to
3250m & includes Hintertux, one of the largest glaciers in Europe.

Mayrhofen

Mayrhofen is a thriving town, unlike many resorts. It has a beautiful Tyrolean style throughout with great bars, a wide variety of shops & après ski to keep you occupied once the lifts are shut.

Living in the town is a breeze! You have everything you want and more on your doorstep. The shopping scene has lots of variety and when you get bored of Gore-tex, there are some nice fashion shops and quality souvenir shops too.

Mayrhofen is a haven for après-ski and music lovers, the Eis Bar is a firm favourite for those liking euro-pop music and a tipple after a hard days skiing. You step off the cable car and fall in here with your ski boot on and dance the evening away with a gluwein! If you fancy listening to LIVE bands there is always a band on somewhere and during the season there are a number of events like Snowbombing and Fasching where there is a huge party with bands and DJs. Its not without its little bit of England, if you begin to miss Blighty. The Scotland Yard is hugely popular with locals and guests alike with Darts, pool, Guinness & Walkers crisps.

Eating out offers a wide variety of cuisines to suit. You can eat Mexican in the Bar'n'Grill, pizza at Manni's Hotel, American food at Mo's Diner of for the more time-honoured menu, Mt Everest, Grill Küchl and Greiner offer speciality local dishes and wonderful traditional fayre.

If you fancy a day away from the snow, Innsbruck is only an hour away for great shopping & much cheaper prices than in resort. In the other direction, over the Gerlos Pass, is Krimml Waterfalls. It is the highest water fall in Europe & can get partially frozen in winter making them a spectacular day out. You can combine this with a trip over to the pistes of Kaprun & Zell am see, half an hour further on.

However, it is the Mayrhofen ski area that keeps so many holidaymakers returning year after year. Around the town itself, there are 157 kilometres of pistes, 28 huts and restaurants, 49 lifts and 100 hectares of pistes (with snow machines). Every skier - from beginners to pros - will find the perfect run.

Hintertux

Further up the valley from Mayrhofen is Tux. At between 1,300 and 3,250 metres above sea level, Tux is an idyllic high-lying valley at the end of the Ziller Valley, with the ideal dimensions for a perfect holiday in the heights. Tux isn't just one village, but a community extending over 8 km, made up of the villages of Vorderlanersbach, Lanersbach, Juns, Madseit and Hintertux.

Because of its healthy altitude up to 3,250 m above sea level, you have guaranteed snow here and landscapes as white as nature intended. With year round snow, powder snow from October to May, snowy valley descents and famous Aprés-Ski and Alpine Hut fun, this is the place we call home! This Glacier is so good that more World Cup Ski Racers choose to train here more than anywhere else in Europe.
